Pathway Information to Alternate School Programs

Westshore Secondary is a Ministry Designated Type 3 facility for students from across SD62 requiring alternate programming. Westshore programs serve students in grades 9-12.  As a Type Three Facility, we focus on the educational, social emotional, mental health and well-being of students whose needs are above what can be supported in a traditional school program. Westshore programs provide support to students through differentiated instruction, specialized program delivery and enhanced counselling services based on students’ needs.

Students and families interested in attending Westshore Secondary are recommended to consult with their secondary school counsellor or administrator about a referral to Westshore.  After a student is referred, staff work with the students and families to determine whether Westshore would be the right support.
